Oh, hey there. Thanks for checking out my blog. Okay lang naman, I’m all good. ☺️
Ran 8km tonight. I was supposed to run 10km but suddenly I felt pain on my abdomen (which is common) on my 5th km and decided to just run 5 miles. Still a good run tho. :)
It’s been raining for the past few days because of the typhoon. Good thing yesterday’s weather went out to be just fine, although it was drizzling for a moment then stopped. Guess my feet missed those pavements. My result turned out well and I was able to run continuously without stopping. Finished a 10km run in 59:42. Well, that’s a first. More SUB1’s.
Woke up early today for a morning run. I really am not a morning person but I got up anyway and ran, although my bed and blankie forbids me to go. Did a 5km run, and now I’m planning to double the distance this week. Probably 8-10km, then gradually add a few more kms.
I only have 2 more weeks to train for the Run United 3 Philippine Marathon. Gaaaaah. Now, shut up legs!
Okay. So yesterday I found out that the guy I was dating a few months back already has a girlfriend. TBH, I don’t know what to feel, it’s kind of mixed I guess. I feel happy for him and at the same time sad for myself (Oh God, yes, self pity. I’m kinda good at this!). We used to go out and talked a lot but the communication between us suddenly stopped. I’m actually good at shutting people off and that’s probably one of the reasons why I don’t have a boyfriend yet. Gaaaah.
And to debug everything, I went out for a run. An uphill run. These are but some of the ways how I divert my attention and vent out my feelings.
I’m actually in the mood to write about my run today. So yeah, here’s my stat for tonight.
I was supposed to run with my buddy but then I got pissed because he didn’t want to accompany me to bring my stuff to the baggage counter. So I didn’t talk to him and told him I won’t run tonight. I was really eager to use my legs but this goofball ALMOST ruined it. Good thing, my other friend asked me to run with him and I said yes without hesitation. I knew my buddy would go to our usual path, but then I decided to change my route, yet I still saw him. But he didn’t see me, I guess. I was able to run 3KM non stop, probably my way of venting out my fury. Strong word, I know. Haha. I’ll consider this as a good jump start since this was my second run after Run United 2, and my first run, which I’m not proud of, kinda sucked.
Oh, and he tried to make me feel better afterwards. But nah, I’m still pissed at him. Try again next time bruh. Maybe tomorrow? I think my run results are way more better when I don’t run with him. What do you think bud? Haha.
Nope. It doesn’t smell because I wear socks. :)
Run United 2
Last March, I joined the Run United 1 and ran in the 21km category. I remember finishing it for almost 4 hours. I’ve been hooked into running just last year. My first fun run was in Nike We Run Manila last December. And by then, I swear myself that I should at least run 10km minimum in a month. Which didn’t happen for the first 3 months. March came and I have realized I haven’t trained enough for this event. But who the hell cares, I’m still gonna go and finish it. On my 7th km, I suddenly felt my feet cramping and blisters were forming on my sole. I did stop running and began to walk because the blisters were killing me. So I managed to finish the run, WALKING. I felt ashamed of myself and envy those other girls who ran fast. I have promised myself to join those 3 legs and finish the half marathon in a justifiable time. And here it goes, my record in Run United 2, 21km category. Running without proper training is not advisable especially if it’s going to be long runs. Don’t run for the sake of the finisher’s shirt or the medal or the freebies. You need to run for yourself. You need to set a goal and get motivated everyday to reach it. If we’re disciplined and determined enough, it’s never too late to achieve whatever we want.
